Advisory and Consulting Services
Customized advisory services include the gamut of activities from the development of a monitoring framework to preparation of monitoring reports for donors. Our preferred approach is to be an expert partner to guide and build the capacity of implementing organizations to do their own monitoring and internal evaluations. NEERMAN (or any external consultant) should come in for specialist and expert role as a partner.
Tech-enabled Smart Monitoring Systems
We use free and commercial software-as-service (SaaS) platforms such as Open Data Kit, SurveySolutions, KoboToolbox, Google Suite, Microsoft Apps and Amazon Cloud services to develop web- and app-based monitoring systems that can double up as job aids (including check-lists, communication videos, diagnostic tests). Using SaaS platforms enables us to transform your paper-based system into digital, real-time, integrated digital system in the most cost-effective manner. However, if you must have a self-developed MIS software, we partner with software development organizations as subject matter and functionality experts.
Monitoring Surveys
Many organizations require third-party monitoring surveys to verify that the stated objectives are indeed being met. Using our own field division, we offer the following types of independent monitoring surveys:
• Baseline, midline and end line surveys
• Concurrent monitoring surveys
• Verification and validation sample surveys
We can also build capacities of your own team to design and implement high-quality surveys, or work in a hybrid manner in collaboration with your programme team.
Peer Review & Quality Assurance
Peer reviews can help programme managers and funders of monitoring and evaluation research fix accountability on the hired consultants and researchers to use credible designs, methods, and reporting standards. We have developed a practicable and structured 50-point peer review system that is easy to understand, to enforce, and to track.
