Policies can transform the lives of millions if designed and implemented well but can also result in a colossal waste of resources if they fail.
We help enable policymakers make decisions, evaluate the effect of these decisions, and take corrective actions using robust and defendable research. NEERMAN mainly uses economic models in our policy research, but combines them with qualitative, epidemiological, sociological, and even machine learning-based methods. We create policy briefs and fact sheets to communicate important findings to relevant stakeholders within policymaking.
In order, to guarantee objectivity and impartiality of our research, NEERMAN does not engage or subscribe to any advocacy priorities, research activism, or development philosophies.

Impact Evaluations
We have conducted impact evaluations not only to prove causation that the policy works, but also conduct what-if simulations to test various policy alternatives. A robust impact evaluation can generate irrefutable proof.

Economic Evaluations
Economic evaluations compare costs against benefits of different policy alternatives to make a sound decision. We value costs and benefits using Willingness-to-Pay, Benefits Transfer, Meta-regressions and other methods.
Risk Assessments and Decision Support
Quantify hazards and risks from environmental, food and vector-borne pathways. We conduct sensitivity analysis to aid decision making under uncertainty. We also prepare risk management plans (prevention, response, recovery, rehabilitation).
